To stable the connection between your printer and wifi through PBS, you need to follow the below steps. Hence, this method is considered one of the easiest and fast way to connect the printer with the network.

1.     Switch on your Printer and wifi
2.     Now press and hold the Wireless button on the printer for a few minutes
3.     Your printer will start blinking lights
4.     It will star the WPS
5.     Now press the WPS button on your router
6.     After this, your Wi-Fi router will take a few minutes to establish the connection
7.     If prompted you may need to enter the WPA key

Through this, your printer will establish a successful connection with the printer.

Connect your HP Printer 6978 using PIN Method

1.     Open your printer, on the Control Panel
2.     Tap on Wireless button to view menu

Note: if you see that your printer is performing some task then wait and let it completes.

1.     From Control Panel screen choose Settings
2.     Now touch Wi-Fi Protected Setup from the available options
3.     Select the PIN method and then follow the on-screen instructions
