  1. Open your iPad and enable WiFi. Make sure both your devices, iPad and HP Printer connects to the same WiFi.

  2. In case your iPad is connected to a different network, then click on the WiFi icon and select the one to which your printer is connected.

  3. Next, you need to check the status of your printer network. To do so, click on the wireless icon. Or you can find the status from Network Settings too. These methods only work if you have a touchscreen HP Printer.

  4. If your printer does not have a touchscreen control panel, then do the following to check the connection status of your network:

  • Press the Wireless and Information button on your printer machine at the same time.

  • Alternatively, you can access the printer status by pressing the Wireless and Start Black Copy button at the same time.

  1. Doing this will display the network connection status. If it says, “Connected” then you can send print jobs from your iPad to the printer right away. However, if you have not connected your printer to the same WiFi, then continue further with the steps.

  2. On your Touchscreen Control Panel, select the Setup, Network, or Wireless option.

  3. Now select Wireless Setup Wizard and continue with the on-screen instructions to connect your printer to the WiFi.

  4. For HP wireless printers without a touchscreen control panel, you need to press the Cancel button along with the wireless button and hold them until a light flashes on the power button. After that, you need to wait for the wireless light to flash.

When the light on the wireless button starts flashing, it means your HP Printer is successfully connected to the network. Try printing anything from your iPad to your HP printer using the Airprint feature.

Note:

Make sure your HP printer isn’t connected to any computer or router through an Ethernet cable. If yes, then disconnect the Ethernet cable from your printer first and then continue with the procedure. Also, make sure that the printer is not connected through Bluetooth to any other device. Refer to your product manual to know how you can disconnect the printer from the Bluetooth connection.
